Plumbing

Having had caravans before, we had been used to the lightweight fittings that were used everywhere. These were functional, but never that great. Taps felt flimsy, (though we never broke one), the water flow was never really much, and the drainage never felt reliable.

When planning the plumbing we also took into consideration the cost of what we were using, and the components sold did appear to be on par with what the standard household versions cost, and sometimes a bit more. But some basic decisions on the plumbing had to be taken.

The result was we used standard household plumbing wherever we could, may seem a small thing, but being able to have a pressured shower, fill the kitchen sink with water quickly and then hear it gurgle out when emptying is a bit of a joy after the caravan.
